Veronika Tryznová

"A keen accountant who enjoys wading through tax laws and solving accounting quirks."

I'm Veronica. I was born in Vrchlabí where I have spent a large part of my life. After a while I exchanged the Krkonoše Mountains for the Jizera Mountains and the ski slopes for cross-country skiing.

Jablonec nad Nisou became my home. I love to travel, try to make the most of my time with my children and throw myself into new challenges - headfirst! One of the craziest challenges is definitely our community chicken farm.

What was before UXFans?

I graduated from the University of Hotel Administration and Economics in Prague and I enjoyed my studies as it should be. One of my favourite subjects was the science of beer, wine and... well, we get it. After school, I stayed with gastronomy and also pursued tourism. I managed a hotel in Špindlerův Mlýn, a sports and recreation complex in Český Ráj and a golf course. Then came maternity leave, which was certainly not short, and I decided to brush up on my accounting knowledge, which I also supplemented with accounting courses. This excited me so much that I became a keen accountant who enjoys wading through tax laws and solving accounting quirks.

What brought you to UXFans?

It was the first Sunday of Advent and I was talking to my brother-in-law Martin about work. A week later I was at my first interview, followed by a second one, and it worked out. My original idea of working from home had passed within a few months. I missed the team and the "getting off my ass" from home. Now I'm happy and really looking forward to work.
